What You Need to Know Before Visiting

Florida’s top theme parks like Walt Disney World, Universal Studios Florida, SeaWorld Orlando, and LEGOLAND Florida will be operating with new policies and procedures in place. We’ve created a list of the things you should know if you are planning to visit one or more of these top theme parks in Central Florida.

Walt Disney World Theme Parks

Walt Disney World is on a phased reopening plan and will be following CDC and appropriate government agency guidelines. Guests can expect that things will be running on limited capacity, modified plan or unavailable.

Most Important Things to Know Before You Visit

  • Park Reservations – To enter the park, you must have both a park reservation and valid admission for the park on the same day for guests aged 3 and up. For an in-depth review of the Disney Park Pass system, please visit here
  • Face Coverings – Face coverings are required for all guests (2 and up) and cast members. You will always need to keep your face covering on unless you are actively eating, drinking, or swimming. If you are eating or drinking, please remain stationary to maintain physical distance. For more information on acceptable face coverings in Walt Disney World, please visit https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/experience-updates/.
  • Temperature Screenings – Temp screenings will be required for entry into some parks including the Walt Disney World theme parks, Disney Springs area and table-service restaurants at Disney resorts.

Updated Policies and Procedures

  • Enhanced Cleaning – Cleaning procedures are enhanced throughout the Walt Disney Resort
  • Physical Distancing – Adjustments have been made to the park to allow for physical distancing between people.
  • Reduced Contact – Things like cashless transactions may be more prominent to reduce contact between employees and guests.

For detailed updates, we highly encourage visiting the Walt Disney World Resort website for current updates.

Universal Studios Florida

Universal Studios in Florida will also operate under a modified plan. As with many businesses in the area, Universal Studios will operate at limited capacity. To plan your visit at Universal Studios Florida, visit https://www.universalorlando.com/web/en/us/plan-your-visit/safety-faqs.

Most Important Things to Know Before You Visit

  • Face Covering – Everyone is required to wear a face-covering when visiting Universal Studios, except for guests under the age of three, when actively eating or drinking, or when at a designated U-Rest face-covering removal area. Social distancing still applies. For more info on face-covering guidelines at Universal Studios Florida, see here
  • Temperature Check Required – Temperature checks will be required upon entry and any guests with temps higher than 100.4 will not be allowed to enter.
  • Wash Hands Often – It is recommended to wash your hands often for at least 20 seconds.
  • Floor Markings – Floor markings have been added to the park to allow guests an appropriate distance between one another.
  • Hand Sanitizer – At certain locations like boarding ride vehicles, guests will be required to use hand sanitizer.
